The Mucha Quartet was founded in 2003 at the Bratislava Conservatory and belongs to the most promising young chamber ensembles in Slovakia. The members of the Mucha Quartet are studying chamber music at the prestigious Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna under the leadership of Johannes Meissl. The ensemble has received important artistic impulses at international interpretation courses. It regularly gives concerts at a number of music festivals and cultural events both in the Czech Republic and abroad. They participated in the official visit of English Queen Elizabeth II. to Slovakia in 2008. Vladimír Kulíšek is an important personality of Slovak pantomime. During his performances he actively cooperates with the audience. In this way comical situations arise and the audience is pulled into action naturally and directly helps create each specific performance. His performances are closely connected with music and contain a musical point.
