Medieval illuminations of one of the most important sources of Czech history – the Paris fragment of the Chronicle of Dalimil – made into a woven tapestry by the Olomouc textile designer Věra Mičková. While in 2007 the artist was inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry, this time she took a domestic theme – a newly discovered fragment of the manuscript of a medieval Latin translation of the Chronicle of Dalimil from the early 14th century. Based on the published pictures she created 20 pieces of tapestry measuring approximately 100 × 70 cm, that will be shown for the first time in the premises of the Gothic cloister in Zdík’s Palace.
