An institute of European significance and the only museum of its kind in the CR. It is housed in the reconstructed national cultural monument, Přemysl Castle (the capitular deanery, tower with St. Barbora's chapel and the Romanesque Episcopal palace of Jindřich Zdík - known as the Přemysl Palace). The premises belong to the oldest permanently inhabited location in Central Europe. In 1306, the last Czech king was murdered here from the Přemysl family - Vaclav III.

Description Spiritual culture of the Olomouc archdiocese. The picture gallery contains fine works of art collected by the Bishops of Olomouc since the 16th century. Tour of the remains of the prince's palace, from the peak of the Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance periods until Late Baroque and Rococo interiors.
