The author of the Art Nouveau reconstruction is Jaroslav Kovář senior, Moritz Lau from Munich created the sculptural decoration. Two figural bas reliefs, situated on the frontispiece along the sides of the main entrance, remind us today of the original use of the building structure on the existing land lot - hospital and penitentiary. You can ascend to the observation point in the glassed-in turret from the building's attic. From here you get an interesting view of the historical centre of the city.
