Czech Design Week – autumn 2019

A design show displaying the most interesting works by Czech and international designers with an emphasis on authenticity and personal approach. Come and see the best of Czech glass, porcelain, jewellery, children's interiors, original toys, and graphic and industrial design.

For the first time, the show includes two parts. The EXPO presents conceptual installations of renowned as well as young brands, studios and designers. The StartUpDesigners hosts works of those who want to check their ideas with visitors and others and launch them to the market. A kind of newbie is also the Czech Design Award – its new design will be revealed during the show.

More than 150 designers, 15 design shops, galleries and showrooms are participating at this edition. The attention is largely paid to Czech glass; a unique glass exhibition is held in the Café Louvre at Národní třída as a part of the show. To name a few foreign guests, one should probably mention Sapiens Design and Matteo Bandy.

The show also commemorates the 30th anniversary from the Velvet Revolution. The neighbourhood design weeks are supposed to join the event; teachers and students will have free admission.
