The National Wine Centre n.p.o. is an organisation whose main goal of activities is the promotion of support of our wine and viticulture. NWC sponsors the greatest win competition in the Czech Republic – the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic and operates a tasting exposition of the same name, at which the wines boasting the title Wine Salon are presented year-round. The Centre issues expert literature, holds training courses and seminars on wine and viniculture and shares in the promotion of Moravian and Czech wines in close cooperation with the Viticulture Fond of the Czech Republic.

More detail about the object:

The chateau also hosts the National Wine Centre, o.p.s., which runs the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic inside the castle cellars. This salon is in fact the country’s most prestigious wine competition, and sits at the pinnacle of many nominating wine exhibitions. Following their success in competition to be numbered in the top 100 Czech wines, these winners then form the basis for a permanent public wine degustation. Thus the general public, including foreign visitors, get the opportunity to taste the very best Czech wines. Wines stored in the cellars can then be bought. Part of the cellars is also set aside as an exhibition devoted to Czech wine-making and our wine-making regions, where you can also purchase a glass for your wine-tasting as well sommelier’s supplies, etc.
