Elbe River trail from the source of the Elbe to the National Stud Breeding Farm in Kladruby
The Elbe Trail leads from the source of the Elbe River in the Giant Mountains to the estuary at Cuxhaven, Germany. The total length is about 1,165 km, of which approx. 370 km is in the Czech Republic. From Vrchlabí to Mělník the trail is led along along long-distance cycle no.2. Our program will lead you from the springs of the Elbe to the the National Stud Farm in Kladruby nad Labem, which is possibly the oldest large stud farm in the world (founded in 1579), dealing with the breeding of Old Kladruby horses.

| 1. day | We will stay in Špindlerův Mlýn. |
| 2. day (16 km) | We will take the chairlift up Medvědín, where we first continue along the unmarked road that connects the marked cycle path of the Giant Mountains National Park no. 13, which leads to Labska shed. We will store our bikes here and walk to the Elbe spring. After returning back to the shed we will take our bikes down along the Elbe to the confluence of the Elbe and Pudlava. From this point on we will ride along the downhill trail "Be Fit" back to Špindlerův Mlýn. Visited attractions and included services for this day

| 3. day (35.4 km) | From Špindlerův Mlýn we will take the routes of the Giant Mountains National Park no. K11 and K10 to Vrchlabí. Here we can also make the route more exciting with a visit to the Augustinian monastery with a museum exposition. Then we will follow the route to Hostinné, where there is a cycle path without motor vehicles, where, if interested, we can go inline skating. In Hostinné we will have dinner and stay overnight. | 4. day (33.6 km) | After breakfast we will set off over the "fairy tale" dam of the Forest Kingdom to Kuks, where we will visit a hospital and pharmaceutical museum, around which we can even go inline skating if we want, or go along the educational trail to Braun's nativity scene. After a tour of Kuks we move to Jaroměř where we spend the night. Visited attractions and included services for this day

| 5. day (47.3 km) | In the morning we will visit the fortified town Jaroměř and then set off on a journey to Hradec Králové along brand new trails in close proximity to the Elbe. These should be completed by the end of 2012 and thus ready for the 2013 season (the current plotting of the trails may not be accurate). And on that very same day we will move from the Hradec Králové region into the Pardubice region, more specifically from one regional city to another. Before arriving in Pardubice, we should not miss a visit to Kunětická Mountain castle in the village of Rába. Visited attractions and included services for this day

| 6. day (27.2 km) | After visiting the chateau in Pardubice, which houses the Museum of East Bohemia, or other sights in Pardubice, we will continue further along the river Elbe. We will pass the town of Prelouč along a cycle route around two ponds, where it is possible to go for a swim, and then continue along the man-made Opatovice channel. Near Semína we can see a flyover crossing of two streams and we will continue all the way to Kladruby nad Labem, where we will visit the National Stud Farm.
