The Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra will play symphonic poems by Bedřich Smetana: My Country, Tábor and Blaník. In the second part of the programme Janáček's Sinfonietta, which the composer intended as a thank you for the first years of his life in independent democratic Czechoslovakia and which he dedicated to all soldiers.
The concert will also include a festive entrance performed by the Music of the Castle Guard. Among the guests will be war veterans, participants of the 3rd Resistance and other important personalities of political and social life. We have asked some of them to reflect briefly on the legacy of previous generations.

All proceeds will go to the War Veterans Day fundraiser, which will run throughout November. Poppy blossoms will be available at hundreds of locations and online, as well as on city streets from November 7-11 from volunteers with donation boxes.
