Czech Čarodějův učeň

The dance-theatre production, featuring music by Zbyněk Matějů, choreographed by Jan Kodet and directed by the SKUTR tandem, is based on a Sorbian legend dating from the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.

It retells the story of Krabat, a boy who is spellbound by and embraces Black Magic, before he ultimately realises that it could kill him. The tale highlights the danger of encountering infatuating mysterious forces. The main protagonist finds out that only love can vanquish dark, evil spells.
