The monastery reached its greatest prospering in the first half of the 18th century during the rule of Abbot Václav Vejmluva. At the time, extensive Baroque reconstruction was conducted, which was led by architect Jan Santini Aichl. After it was closed in 1784, the monastery premises were changed into a farmstead and chateau.
